Beginning Sunday, November 20, at 12:00 noon, the Holly Days Committee will be collecting non-perishable items to donate to the local food pantries. Please bring your donations to Veterans Memorial Park, located behind the Community Center, on November 20 and to the following locations around town through December 18: Westmont Public Library, Westmont Police and Fire Departments, Westmont Centre and the Westmont Community Center.

All aboard the Polar Express! This is your chance to capture some of the magic of Chris Van Allsburg’s beloved holiday story. Before boarding the Polar Express, we will read the story at the Westmont Centre, 1 S. Cass Ave. We will then board the train at the Westmont Train Station and head to the North Pole (Aurora depot). While at The North Pole, you will have a chance to speak with Santa and his elves, enjoy some additional entertainment and some refreshments. Please note: there is no alcohol permitted on this trip. Advanced tickets are required and each family is limited to 10 tickets. Registration deadline is December 1 or when the maximum is reached. Please come to the Westmont Community Center to register for this event.

This holiday, PVPN returns to their tradition of bringing holiday radio classics to life on stage. Join us as we present a night of laughter, music and suspense with live productions of Father Knows Best, Dragnet, Superman, and much more. This is PVPN's annual gift to the community as we continue to put on these free performances, while collecting food items for the People's Resource Center of Westmont.

You won’t want to miss your chance to experience the Westmont Winter Wonderland! You’ll be able to visit Santa and his elves in Santa’s Workshop, learn about dog sledding and meet some real huskies from Z-Team, board the Trackless Train for a ride around the park (nominal fee), and learn about Winter Outdoor Fun with the outdoor experts from REI, Recreational Equipment Incorporated. Bundle up as most activities will be outdoors! We will also have a bonfire, hot chocolate and s’mores packs for purchase.
Please note: the Huskies are friendly, but we appreciate you leaving your own family pets at home!

Downers Grove Township Electronics Recycling Program 8 a.m to Noon at their Highway Department Facility at 318 E. Quincy Street in Westmont. The program will be held on the third Saturday of each month, unless that date falls on a holiday. There are a few program changes including a charge for TVs.
