    The defense and prosecution have rested and the jury is filing into the jury room to decide if a young Spanish-American is guilty or innocent of murdering his father. What begins as an open and shut case of murder soon becomes a mini-drama of each of the jurors' prejudices about the accused, the trial and each other. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Community Center starting March 1. Tickets will also be available 30 minutes before each show when the doors open.     It's the 10th anniversary of the Spring Palette Art Show. Local artists will be displaying their beautiful works in the Gregg House Museum, turning the museum into a gorgeous gallery. Paintings, prints, pencil drawings, glass, sculptures and much more will be on display, and artists will be there to discuss their art. Some items will be available for purchase.

  2. LIBRARY EVENT: Catapult Yourself Into Fun

    What do you get when you combine tongue depressors, rubber bands, clothes pins, LEGOS, and bottle caps? A catapult! Join us to build your own using one of two plans. Then, we will use marshmallows to test our catapults, find out which one shoots the furthest and who shall be named King or Queen of the catapult! Ages 12-18 are welcome!

Join Jon Kostal of Uncle Jon's Music as he discusses a brief history of the instrument, different types of ukuleles, and how you can get started right away. Audience members will have a chance to test different ukuleles and ask Jon questions. A performance will follow the presentation.

  9. LIBRARY EVENT: Recycled Sweater Hat Creation Workshop

    March 26, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Westmont Public Library

    Create your own hat made from recycled sweaters in this class that combines beginning sewing, recycled fashions, and fiber art. You will learn about "fulling" animal hair sweaters, sewing pattern layout and cutting; and hand sewing using either whip or blanket stitch. Choose from one of five original pattern designs. Led by Tammy L Deck, Fiber Artist and Owner of TLD Design Center & Gallery of Westmont. Please Note: Each person should bring one animal hair sweater with 75% or higher content of wool, merino, mohair, rabbit hair, angora, or cashmere on the label – be prepared to sacrifice this sweater completely. Sweaters with holes and spots are absolutely acceptable. Ages 18+ are welcome.

    The Conservation Foundation will discuss water conservation practices, wildlife habitat, land stewardship, and a variety of techniques for transforming your landscape, including the use of native plants, rain barrels, and rain gardens. Ages 18+ are welcome.
