Deputy Liquor Commissioner (Part-Time)
The Village of Westmont, IL (pop. 24,685) Deputy Liquor Commissioner/Civilian Position (Part-Time) is responsible for preliminary investigations and related activities required for the detection, prevention, and suppression of illegal activities applicable to Chapter 10, Liquor Code of Ordinances for the Village.  This individual will screen and interview applicants for liquor licenses and make recommendations to the Local Liquor Commissioner.  In addition, interacts with the Westmont Police Department and other law enforcement agencies on tobacco and massage establishment issues and activities.

Applicant must be a dedicated individual with integrity & strength of character.  Requires thorough working knowledge of Chapter 10 Liquor Code of Ordinances, laws and regulations enforced by the Illinois Liquor Control Commission and the Illinois Gaming Board (in particular Video Gaming), investigative practices and procedures, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 

Requires completion of four years of high school, and completion of the Beverage Alcohol Sellers and Servers Training classes; completion of an instructor’s course is preferred.  Must possess a valid IL Vehicle Operator’s License.

Starting salary is $24.20 (DOQ).  Average hours are less than 1,000 per year.

Administrative Assistant II-Municipal Services
The Vlg of Westmont, IL (pop. 24,685) Administrative II for Municipal Services is responsible for complex, confidential clerical and administrative work from Building & Code Enforcement, Community Development, and Public Works.

Starting hourly salary range is $21.29 - $22.90 (DOQ).  Average weekly hours are 40 hours per week.

The Village of Westmont is accepting applications for the position of part-time firefighter/EMT-B or EMT-P status for the Westmont Fire Department. This is a position with a progressive Department. The Village of Westmont is located in southeast DuPage County and serves an area of approximately eight square miles with a population of approximately 25,000 residents. Included in this area are Golfview Hills, and the North and South Westmont Fire Protection Districts. The Department responded to nearly 4100 fire and EMS calls this past year. The Department is an Accredited Agency and an ISO Class 2.
  • Certified as a Firefighter II/ Basic Operations Firefighter.
  • Must be Certified Fire Apparatus Engineer (FAE).
  • Must be Certified Fire Service Vehicle Operator (FSVO).
  • Certified EMT-B or Paramedic within the Good Samaritan system or be able to test into the system.
  • Applicants should be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must obtain Illinois CPAT card at time of hire.

  • First year starting salary is $15.00 per hour for Firefighter EMT/B and $17.00 per hour for Firefighter EMT/P.
  • An additional 10% per hour is paid for day shifts and Saturday night shifts.
  • Double time is paid for specified Village holidays.
  • Shifts are twelve hour shifts from 0600-1800 and 1800-0600.
