The Village of Westmont Administration Department is led by the Village Manager and includes the Human Resources Director, the Media Relations Coordinator & Community Events Liaison, and other administration staff. The Administration Department oversees management of the entire Village Municipal Government to ensure that the programs, services and policies of the Village are carried out.
The Village Clerk is an elected position and is responsible for managing the various duties carried out by the Village Clerk’s Office including record keeping, bill collections, and various licensing programs. The Village Clerk’s Office is responsible for recording the official minutes of Village Board meetings, serves as a secretary for the Mayor and the Village Board, provides for the publishing of all new Village ordinances and their systematic inclusion in the Municipal Code Book, and maintains other official Village records.
The Community Development Department is led by Shannon Malik, Village of Westmont Acting Community Development Director. The Community Development Department works with residents, businesses and developers who are interested in creating a successful partnership with the Village of Westmont. The CDD includes the Village Planner, Code Enforcement, and CDD staff who assist residents and businesses with their development projects.
Under the direction of the Finance Director, the Finance Department is entrusted to account for all municipal resources and to maintain a fiscally sound government organization that adheres to legal requirements and financial management principles, and to apply such resources in a manner which is most beneficial to the citizens of Westmont.
The Westmont Fire Department is responsible for responding to numerous emergency situations that require a quick, efficient and professional response. The Westmont Fire Department is committed to providing the highest quality service to the citizens while maximizing the productivity and safety of our personnel. The services of the Westmont Fire Department include fire emergency response, ambulance and paramedic response, the coordination of the Emergency Management Agency, and more.

The Information Technologies Division is managed by the IT Director and is responsible for providing internal technology solutions for the departments of the Village as well as developing communication systems that allow the Village to effectively interact with the citizens of the community. The IT Division works with the Police and Fire Departments to ensure effective communication and response for our emergency services as well as oversees the Village Website and recording/playback of community meetings.
The Westmont Police Department is responsible for serving and protecting the citizens of Westmont. The WPD a highly professional, well-trained and well-equipped agency that is committed to delivering the highest level of law enforcement service. The Police Department has a number of divisions within the department, each with its own mission and assigned personnel. Some of these divisions are: Patrol Operations, Detective Division, Communications/Dispatch Center, Records Division, and Administration.
The Village of Westmont Public Works Department five Divisions: Public Works Administration, Street Operations, Water, Fleet Maintenance, and Facilities Operations. Each division has its own unique mission and assigned personnel. In general, the Public Works Department provides maintenance and upkeep for the community’s water service and the public rights-of-way including roadways, parkways alleys, and municipal-owned properties.
