The Westmont Fire and Police Departments will be coordinating the 2013 Kids Safety Preparedness Camp. The camp is co-hosted by the Westmont Special Events Corp., Oakbrook Toyota in Westmont, Westmont Citizens Fire Academy Alumni and the Westmont Citizens Police Academy Alumni.
There will be three camp sessions offered in 2013. The sessions will be held on:
* Tuesday & Wednesday, June 18 & 19
* Wednesday & Thursday, July 24 & 25
* Wednesday & Thursday, August 14 & 15
Each camp session is for two days and will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
The camp provides an opportunity for 8, 9 and 10 year old children to spend time with their local heroes and learn much more than just the usual safety lessons. Applicants must live or attend school within the Village of Westmont or participate in a Westmont-based Cub Scout or Brownie Troop.
