At 2:31 p.m., on January 4, 2020, Westmont emergency dispatch received a call regarding a pedestrian-train accident. First responders arrived at 2:36 p.m. to find the victim deceased on arrival. Westmont Police Department is assisting Amtrak and BNSF with the death investigation. The location of the incident was near the Westmont train station, west of Cass Avenue. The incident is still under investigation and no additional information is available at this time. Further questions should be referred to Amtrak and/or BNSF.
