[ARCHIVED] U.S. Census Job Info at Library Feb. 12

The U.S. Census Bureau is still accepting applications for various jobs to help make sure every resident gets counted in the 2020 census.  The U.S. Census Bureau will be at the Westmont Public Library, 428 N. Cass Avenue, on February 12, from Noon to 6:00 p.m., to provide residents more information on these available jobs.  These are paid positions and the pay rate has recently been increased to $29.50 an hour, plus mileage reimbursement.  Applicants must meet specific criteria to be considered for a Census job.  Following are some of the requirements:
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a valid Social Security number
  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Have a valid email address
  • Complete an application and answer assessment questions. (Some assessment questions are available in Spanish. However, an English proficiency test may also be required.)
  • Pass a Census-performed criminal background check and a review of criminal records, including fingerprinting
  • Commit to completing training
