Due to the COVID-19 situation and resulting response, there have been a variety of municipal and community meeting and event postponements and cancellations. Village meeting schedule updates will be published on the Village website at westmont.illinois.gov.
“We are investigating various possibilities in which we can conduct Village business via live cyber meetings that the public can view while providing citizen public comment in advance of the actual meeting,” said Glen Liljeberg, Westmont IT Director. “We will publicize these cyber meetings and the process for submitting public comment as soon as we have a plan in place.” The Village hopes to have this protocol in place and ready for the Thursday, March 26 Village Board meeting.
Following are some of the current postponements and cancellations that have been confirmed.
Electronics Recycling Program
CANCELED - Saturday, March 21
Updates will be provided regarding the April collection date.
Westmont Citizens Fire Academy
CANCELED - March 25 to April 22
Updates will be provided if the academy is rescheduled.
Downers Grove Township Senior Survival Skills Class
CANCELED - Thursday, March 26
Economic Development Committee
CANCELED - Wednesday, April 1, 9:00 a.m.
Westmont State of the Village
POSTPONED - Wednesday, April 8

Westmont Chamber Community Awards Banquet

DEA Drug Take Back Day
CANCELED - Saturday, April 25
Residents can also drop off unwanted prescriptions at Walgreens located at 1000 Ogden Avenue in Downers Grove.
