During the budgeting process this past spring, the village looked at ways to continue to improve efficient use of village resources as well as customer service. Acting on these ideas, the Village Board recently approved a new schedule for Village Board meetings.
Beginning on Thursday, July 11, 2013, Village Board meetings will be held every other Thursday. Each meeting will be both a discussion and voting meeting, however, agenda items requiring additional resident feedback and research will be continued for further discussion.
“This schedule not only saves time and money regarding staff resources and administrative costs,” says Village Manager Ron Searl, “but it will provide more flexibility when addressing agenda items that may need additional information and public input.” The Village Board will always have the option of scheduling special meetings if necessary.
The new schedule will be posted on the Village Website Calendar as well as in various print publications including the Westmont Neighbor’s Magazine.
