[ARCHIVED] 2013 Brush Pickup In June & October

The Village Board recently approved the Brush Pickup Program for 2013. Following are the details:

Every single family home residence will have one brush pickup date in the spring and another brush pickup date in the fall. Single-family homes north of the railroad tracks should put out their brush on Sunday, June 9 for the spring pickup, and on Sunday, October 13 for the fall pickup. Single-family homes south of the railroad tracks should put out their brush on Sunday, June 16 for the spring pickup and on Sunday, October 20 for the fall pickup.

Northside Residents - Put out brush on June 9 & Oct. 13

Southside Residents - Put out brush on June 16 & Oct. 20

This program is for single-family residential properties only. Collection is not provided for business, commercial, multi-units or other income properties.

Brush should be cut to four-foot lengths and either stacked neatly on the parkway with the thick ends closest to the street or in medium-sized bundles tied with rope or string. Do not use wire. Logs not exceeding six inches in diameter and under three feet in length will also be picked up. Stumps, leaves, grass, lawn clippings, and building materials are examples of items that will not be picked up by the brush pickup program.

Brush should be placed on the parkway in front of your residence during the weekend and by Sunday evening prior to your areas scheduled pickup. Brush on the parkway at times other than during your scheduled pickup time will be considered litter and is subject to a fine. There will be no special pickups. If you have any questions regarding Brush Pickup, call Public Works at 630-981-6271.
