Due to COVID-19, there will not be a public Patriot Day Ceremony in Westmont this year. The Westmont Fire and Police Departments have coordinated a public Patriot Day Ceremony for the past 19 years, but because of health concerns and Restore Illinois Phase 4 guidelines, a public event is not possible for 2020. Though there will not be a public event this year, Village staff will conduct a private Patriot Day remembrance to honor those who perished when our nation was under attack on September 11, 2001.
