Westmont’s Sister City, Hsinchu County in Taiwan, recently made a generous donation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Village of Westmont.
“We want to thank Magistrate Yang and Hsinchu County for their kindness and support,” said Mayor Ron Gunter. “With COVID-19 cases surging, this donation of PPE is arriving just in time as we prepare for the next few months.”
The Village of Westmont shared a portion of the PPE donations (1500 masks, 100 cloth masks and 80 gowns for each location) with several of Westmont’s long-term care facilities and nursing homes to help our most vulnerable populations. Mayor Ron Gunter, Fire Chief Steve Riley, and EMS Director Lynn Dralle made personal visits to Aspired Living of Westmont, BRIA of Westmont, Burgess Square Healthcare Center, and Manor Care Health and Rehab Center.
“We were able to deliver gowns, masks, to all of these facilities,” said Fire Chief Steve Riley. “They were very appreciative of the donation.”
The Village of Westmont thanks Magistrate Yang and Hsinchu County for their friendship and kindness.
