The Westmont Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau (WCCTB) typically hosts its annual Westmont Awards Banquet event in the spring. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 ceremony was cancelled and not able to be rescheduled. Recently, the WCCTB and participating community organizations have announced all of the award recipients and will be working with various organizations to coordinate individual virtual acknowledgements.
At a recent Westmont Park District meeting, Jim Long was presented with the Westmont Citizen of the Year Award. Long is the current President of the Westmont Park District and has been a volunteer member of the Park Board for 40 years.
