“I thought we had a great turnout at our first event,” says Mayor Ron Gunter regarding the inaugural “Coffee with the Mayor” forum in early June. “There were over 20 residents in attendance and we had a good conversation about a variety of topics.”
The next Coffee with the Mayor event will be Saturday, July 13 at La La Li Bakery, 20 N. Cass Avenue in downtown Westmont. The event will begin at 11 a.m.
“We ask everyone to come on out, support our local businesses, buy a cup of coffee, and join us in the conversation,” says Mayor Gunter. “We’re interested in hearing all of your questions and ideas. Working together and keeping the best interests of the entire community in mind, we will be successful.”
Also, as the Taste of Westmont will be in town on July 13, event guests are invited to walk down to the Taste and get lunch from one of our restaurant food vendors.
Upcoming Coffee with the Mayor events will include Standard Market on Saturday, August 10 at 10 a.m., and there will be a coffee scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 10 a.m. at the Westmont Library.
