Westmont, Illinois -- Date Issued: August 12, 2021
The DuPage County Board is currently made up of six districts with three County Board Members representing each district. The DuPage County Redistricting Committee is currently seeking resident input regarding the boundaries for the six districts. Currently there are no proposed maps for the new districts, as the 2020 Census Data has not been released. Once citizen input is collected, and the 2020 Census data has been analyzed, the Redistricting Committee will create proposed district maps. Those maps will then be available for public comment.
The DuPage County Redistricting Committee will host an open house on Wednesday, August 18, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for residents to provide feedback regarding the County Board District Map. The open house will be held in the Auditorium of the 421 JTK Administration building, located at 421 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton.
“We take the responsibility of redrawing the County Board districts very seriously, and the feedback our residents provide will be essential as we move through this process,” said Redistricting Committee Chairman Jim Zay.
If residents cannot attend the open house, feedback can be submitted on the county website.
