Westmont, Illinois - Date Issued: August 27, 2021
“This year has been a complete roller-coaster ride for community events,” said Dave Gullotto, President of Westmont Special Events. “In mid-May, we weren’t even sure we would be able to have Cruisin’ Nights and the Taste of Westmont, then we received the go-ahead and were able to pull everything together quickly for a very successful year. With our Cruisin’ Nights schedule coming to an end, we’re now soliciting public feedback, which will be used as we make plans for the future.”
Westmont Special Events, an independent, volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization, has published a survey regarding Westmont Cruisin’ Nights. Residents and guests to the community are invited to share their opinions as well as offer suggestions for the weekly summer car show.

SQUAD CAR NIGHT
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2
DOWNTOWN WESTMONT
Because of this year’s unique circumstances, Squad Car Night, which is usually held in June, will be held on Thursday, September 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. on Cass Avenue. Over 50 squad cars from various communities are expected to attend. The evening will conclude with a Squad Car Night Lights & Sirens Parade, which will kick off at 9 p.m. This will be the final Cruisin’ Nights of 2021 - the entire community is invited to attend.
“Overall, we’ve had a great year,” said Kristina Kaniauskaite. “We broke our own Cruisin’ Nights attendance record three times this summer. Our new record for one night is 360 vehicles and over 3,000 event guests. We’ve had over 300 cars for three different events this year - that’s a record as well. We want to thank all of our volunteers who come out and work the events as well as all of our great sponsors for their support. We also want to thank the Village of Westmont and other public agencies that partner with us to ensure these events are a success.”
