“Our August coffee at Standard Market had more than 25 people in attendance,” says Mayor Ron Gunter. “We hope that even more people come out for our next outing at the Library.” The next Coffee with the Mayor event will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, 10 a.m. at the Westmont Library, 428 N. Cass Avenue, second floor meeting room. The Library will provide coffee, pastries and other beverages.
“These events are designed to stimulate conversation and discussion about our community,” says the Mayor. “I firmly believe that good communication is the key to a successful Village, so we want to encourage people to come out, ask questions, make suggestions, and join us as we work together to make Westmont great.”
Plans are underway for a special coffee event in October at the Harvest Pancake House and Grill, 339 W. 63rd Street. Look for more details in the near future.
