The annual Downtown Westmont Scarecrow Decorating Contest, coordinated by the Westmont Chamber of Commerce, is now open for registration. Local businesses, community organizations, residents, families and individuals are invited to create a scarecrow to be displayed in downtown Westmont. The scarecrows will be on display from October 4 through Halloween. The entry fee is $5.00 and is donated to the Westmont Historical Society. You can use your own materials or purchase a materials package from the Westmont Historical Society for $10.00, which includes the entry fee. All applications and scarecrows are due by September 27, 2021 to the Westmont Chamber of Commerce office, One South Cass Avenue, Suite 101, Westmont. After October 4, everyone is invited to visit the Chamber website to vote for their favorite entries.
