Westmont, Illinois -- Date Issued: March 1, 2022
“We created the concept for the Peace, Hope & Love Project over a month ago, however, in light of recent events, the timing for this has been perfect,” said Larry McIntyre, Westmont Special Events Volunteer and Project Coordinator. “We’ve had over 20 artists and businesses participating in the mural window paintings as well as the art and essay project. Now we invite the public to check out the submissions, which have been posted online, as well as visit the participating businesses to take pictures and selfies of the murals.”
The community is invited to visit the Westmont Special Events Facebook page and the Peace, Hope & Love project Folder to check out all of the submissions. This is a celebration of expression and the public is asked to share their support for all of the contributions, which include window murals, essays, artwork, and even an original song. Additionally, people are asked to visit the business window murals in person to take pictures and selfies, then post them online. Each online submission will count as one entry in a drawing. Following is a list of participating businesses.
