October is packed full of fun Halloween Happenings in Westmont! Be sure to mark your calendar and bring out the family as there is fun for all ages to enjoy.
Thousands of people came out to enjoy the Trick or Treat Trail and the Haunted Forest Tour on Oct. 26. We thank the Chamber and the Park District for hosting these fun events.
HALLOWEEN FUN FAIR & JR. HIGH DANCEWestmont Community Center, 75 E. RichmondThursday, Oct. 31* The Westmont Park District has some fun alternatives to raiding your neighborhood for candy at their Fang-Tastic Halloween Party. Taking place at the Westmont Community Center on October 31, families can take part in the Halloween Fun Fair from 5:00 to 7:00pm. This event will feature games, concessions, costume parade and a special Halloween show of fun and horror!
Then, sixth through eighth graders can come to the Westmont Community Center from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. for the Annual Halloween Dance. Costume contest, dancing and prizes - a great place for middle schoolers to enjoy Halloween night. Both of these events are free.
TRICK OR TREATINGHalloween NightThursday, Oct. 31On Halloween night, the Westmont Police Department recommends trick or treating from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. BE SAFE! Be sure to follow typical Halloween safety tips such as wearing reflective clothing, be careful of masks and costumes that can impair your vision or ability to move, be careful when crossing the street, travel with groups, and have a parent check your candy. “We want to make sure that everyone has a safe and happy Halloween,” says Police Chief Tom Mulhearn. “We also urge motorists to drive safe and be mindful of all the pedestrians on Halloween.”
