[ARCHIVED] 2022 Taste of Westmont Schedule of Events July 7-10

2022 Taste of Westmont Kid on ride

Westmont, Illinois -- Date Issued: June 17, 2022

“As always, we are very excited to bring this summer festival to downtown Westmont,” said Kristina Kaniauskaite, Westmont Special Events Executive Director.  “Our goal is to provide fun for all ages.  We hope that everyone can come out and enjoy this wonderful community event.”  The 2022 Taste of Westmont is a 4-day festival that will feature local restaurant food vendors, two stages for live music, two beer tents, an all-ages carnival with wristband specials scheduled throughout the weekend, an art show, crafters, vendors, and more.

For the second year in a row, the South Stage and Beer Tent, which is located on East Irving Street near Cass Avenue, will feature local and original music artists.  “As a huge fan and supporter of local music, we’ve always worked hard to encourage local musicians to play at our events,” said Larry McIntyre, who coordinates the South Stage entertainment.  “This year, we will have almost 100 musicians play on the South Stage over the 4-day event.  Most of the performances will feature original music written and performed by these talented artists.  If you love music and want to support local artists, then please visit the South Stage throughout the event to check out the incredible talent.”  The complete list of South State entertainers can be found on the Westmont Special Events Taste of Westmont webpage.

This year, there will be a record number of new food vendors at the Taste of Westmont, each being a unique culinary experience.  Following is a list of this year's confirmed new food vendors:

  • Taste Greek Street Food, located at 645 N. Cass Avenue, will offer several traditional Greek food items
  • La Michoacana, located at 311 W. 63rd Street, will feature unique, store-made Mexican ice cream bars and treats with over a dozen flavors to choose from
  • TQLA, a new Westmont restaurant that has opened at 19 W. Ogden Avenue will offer several Mexican food dishes
  • Rita’s Sno’ On The Go, which is also a vendor at Westmont Cruisin’ Nights, will serve icy varieties of snow cones with syrups and toppings

Past food vendor favorites will include Uncle Bub’s BBQ, J. Fleming's Absolutely Delicious, Zazzo’s, Taqueria Ranchito, Baisi Thai, and more.  Taste of Westmont may also have some food trucks as part of this year’s culinary line-up.

Alpine Amusements will once again provide carnival attractions for kids of all ages.  There will be various wristband specials throughout the event.  The carnival will be open during event hours.

Westmont Special Events, the volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization behind the Taste of Westmont, Westmont Cruisin’ Nights, and numerous other community events, is seeking volunteers to sign up and help with the event.  “The Taste of Westmont requires hundreds of volunteers,” said Al Carson, WSEC VP of Administration, who has been a volunteer for the organization since 2007.  “If you can step up and help us out, it is much appreciated and needed.”  Volunteers can sign up at or for more information contact the WSEC office at 630-829-9378.
