The Westmont Park District recently broke ground on a new multi-purpose facility that is being built adjacent to Veterans Memorial Park on South Linden Street. The new facility is expected to begin construction this Spring and be completed by the end of 2023.
“This is a great new project for the Westmont Park District and the community,” said Park Board President John Karesh. “This new facility will be the home for a number of programs and services as well as provide an opportunity for facility rentals for events such as birthdays, graduations, parties, anniversaries and wedding receptions.”
The new multi-purpose space will provide a new home for the year-round Early Childhood Program as well as a new location for adult and senior programming. Additionally, the Park District will run its summer camps out of the new facility.
