On April 24, 2023, Westmont resident and business owner Tracey Valerio Spotts was named the 2022 Westmont Citizen of the Year at the annual Westmont Community Awards Dinner, hosted by the Westmont Chamber of Commerce and held at the Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort and Conference Center. Nominees for the Citizen of the Year included Daniel Buczkowski and Dave Reisetter. The Citizen of the Year Award is given to a Westmont resident who has demonstrated exemplary volunteer service for the community.
Mayor Ron Gunter said, “Congratulations to all the nominees for everything you do to make Westmont a wonderful place to live and work and for being the best community for volunteerism in the state!”

The Westmont Chamber made two additional special presentations during the event. Retiring CUSD 201 Superintendent and Chamber Past President Kevin Carey was presented a Chamber Lifetime Honorary Membership Award. The Chamber also recognized Chamber board member Alison Clemens of Clemens Enterprises for her service to the Chamber Board and Westmont Business Community.
