The Westmont Village Board has approved an updated summer meeting schedule that will allow committee and board meetings to start earlier. This will reduce scheduling conflicts regarding meeting times and the times of various community events.
“We were getting feedback that due to the busy summer events schedule, we may end up with several time conflicts with our Thursday night meetings,” says Assistant Village Manager, Stephen May. “This updated schedule will allow residents and elected officials to continue their meetings on their usual days, and also allow people to attend evening community events.” The Village Board plans to be flexible regarding the order of agenda items so to accommodate the schedules of presenters.
During the months of June, July and August, Village Board Meetings will begin at 5:30 p.m. Most Village Committee Meetings will begin at 4:00 p.m. Meetings will continue to be at the Village Hall, 31 W. Quincy Street and are open to the public.
