“This will be our fourth and final public meeting regarding the development of the proposed stormwater utility,” says Village Engineer Kim Nicoll. “We’ve had excellent representation and participation from the community for all of these meetings. This process has been extremely valuable in pulling our group together as we work to ensure that the final draft of this utility reflects the interests of our citizens.”
The final Community Stormwater Stakeholder Group (CSSG) Meeting will be Tuesday, June 9, 7 p.m. at the Village Hall, 31 W. Quincy Street. Citizens and business owners are invited and encouraged to attend.
“After this meeting, AMEC (the consulting firm coordinating this effort) will work with staff and the Village Attorney to draft a final recommendation for the proposed Westmont Stormwater Utility. This proposal will then go before the Village Board for consideration,” says Public Works Director Steve May. “We expect this final presentation to be scheduled within the next month.”
