Westmont Police Officers David Hamblin and Taso Malamis were recently announced as the recipients of the Village of Westmont Customer Service Appreciation Award for the month of May 2014.
“We received an unsolicited thank you letter from a resident who was very appreciative of how our officers handled a difficult situation,” say Police Chief Tom Mulhearn. “We are very proud to receive this honor on behalf of the Police Department. We strive for excellent customer service in all we do and it’s good to know that it is recognized and appreciated.”
Hamblin and Malamis responded to a 9-1-1 call in which a family in distress was dealing with a difficult matter. The officers calmly assisted the family and helped them through the situation. Congratulations to Officers Hamblin and Malamis for their excellent service and commitment to the community.
