On Wednesday, September 19, NICOR is scheduled to perform some work on gas mains that run along the south side of 55th Street from Williams to Washington in Westmont near Downers Grove. Residents should be aware of the fact that the odor of natural gas will be present while this work is performed, but will not cause harm to area residents. The Village of Westmont will post additional updates if necessary.
