Recently, the Village solicited feedback from citizens regarding the current community slogan ‘The Progressive Village’. “We had more than 120 responses to the survey, and the great majority of those who participated were in favor of either changing the community slogan, or were at least open-minded to selecting a new one,” says Westmont Communications Director Larry McIntyre. “Less than 10% of those who responded felt strongly that the current slogan should remain in place. With that in mind, we’re planning a public meeting to get additional feedback and talk more about the overall branding of our community.”
The special meeting will be held Wednesday, May 20, 6 p.m. at the Village Hall, 31 W. Quincy Street. At the meeting, survey results will be shared and additional feedback will be solicited. The agenda will also include discussion regarding community history, vision, branding color palette, and community imagery that best exemplifies Westmont.
