HOW DOES THIS HELP?
Better informed 9-1-1 responders are better equipped to help citizens in emergency situations. With SMART 9-1-1, Police, Fire and Ambulance personnel are aware of critical information that might make the difference in saving lives.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The program allows citizens to enter important information that they want to provide to SMART 9-1-1 through a secure website, then this information is delivered to emergency responders automatically with any 9-1-1 call placed within DuPage County.
WHAT DETAILS ARE SHARED?
You decide. SMART 9-1-1 allows you to store any critical care and emergency rescue information online in advance of an emergency. Information can include children's photos, medical conditions, home addresses of mobile phone callers, number of pets in a home, disabilities, or other rescue-related information.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
The registration process is quick and easy... just four simple steps. After completing the steps, you will be able to edit your information as you choose.
