The Westmont Police Department will be part of the DUNKIN’ DONUTS COP ON TOP fundraising event this Friday, May 20, from 6 a.m. to Noon. Chief Mulhearn and Deputy Chief Ross Brenza will sit on top of the Dunkin’ Donuts at 19 W. 63rd Street, and Deputy Chief Jim Gunther and Sgt. Brian Gruen will be at the Dunkin’ Donuts at 121 W. Ogden Avenue. The annual fundraiser benefits Illinois Special Olympics
“Special Olympics creates opportunities for children and adults with special needs to participate in competitive sports,” said Westmont Police Chief Tom Mulhearn, who has been part of the event for more than 5 years. “We encourage everyone to support this great cause. It really does make a difference in the lives of these young people.”
