On Thursday July 14, Chief Tom Mulhearn along with Community Service Officer Rosanne Terry and Administrative Assistant Angela Whitehead participated in the Westmont Park District's Twin Lakes Learning Center's " Water Day".
The afternoon started with CSO Terry reading a book about police officers to the students. After that, everyone went outside where the students participated in "Water Day" by washing three squad cars and having fun. Chief Mulhearn said" It was a fun day and a great way for us to meet and interact with the youth of our community. To tell you the truth, I don't know who had more fun, the kids or us".
This is an annual event and allows members of the department to support our local educators as well as allowing us the opportunity to meet with the children of the community and make new friends. We thank Director Cindy Bump and her staff for inviting us again this year. We look forward to many events like this in the future not only at Twin Lakes Learning Center but, in all of the schools in our community.
