The last Westmont Cruisin’ Nights-Street Fair will be held on Thursday, August 25 from 5-9 p.m. in downtown Westmont on Cass Avenue.
“Because we had a rainout earlier in the year, our last event will include fire trucks and military vehicles,” said Kristina Kaniauskaite, Westmont Special Events Office Manager. “This will be a great way to end our year. This week we will feature very popular ‘Flat Cats’ jazz band. We invite everyone to come out and enjoy the event.”
Also at this week’s event, Westmont’s Environmental Improvement Commission will have a display featuring several exhibits including a worm farm from Scarce.org, information about the the new Richmond Community Garden project, and seed packet giveaways compliments of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. Additionally, ComEd representatives will be available to inform consumers about energy-efficiency and distribute energy-saving kits to all those who stop by.
A lot of fun will be had at this final 2016 Street Fair so bring the family and come and join us!
