Posted on: April 28, 2017[ARCHIVED] New Garbage Rates Begin May 1 - New Garbage Containers To Be Delivered In June
The Village of Westmont currently contracts with Waste Management to provide Residential Recycling and Waste Hauling Services. Per the Village’s recently renewed contract, rates will be adjusted effective May 1 as follows:
Residential bi-monthly rate:
$28.08
Senior Residential bi-monthly rate:
$21.10
Also, per the new contract with Waste Management, all residential customers (those who are billed for garbage on their water/garbage bill from the Village of Westmont) will receive a new, 96-gallon garbage container. These new containers will hold up to 200 pounds of waste, which is 4 times the weight allowed in the previous contract. Delivery of the new garbage containers will take place the week of June 12.
After the delivery of your new container, please clearly mark your old container “PLEASE TAKE” if you want it to be disposed of by Waste Management. Only metal garbage containers are recyclable.
