“With our new fall events theme of Wicked West Fest, we’re very excited to be adding new events to our schedule,” said Larry McIntyre, Westmont Communications Director. “Our first Fall Wine Tasting Event had over 140 people this past weekend. And now we’re adding our first-ever Halloween Decorating Contest.”

Nominated addresses will be publicized locally via various websites and social media to encourage people to come out and take a look at decorations. Judging will occur the weekend of Oct. 27 between 7 and 9 p.m. Winners will be announced prior to Halloween. Awards will be given for best home, best business, and best neighborhood.
“I want people to think of Westmont as a great destination for Halloween and fall events,” said Park District Activities Director Steve Golembiewski, who also chairs the Chamber’s Events Committee. “For the size of our community, no one puts on as many high quality events as Westmont. Our Wicked West Fest is just another example of our commitment to providing fun entertainment for all ages.”
