[ARCHIVED] Have A Request? Use Our Report A Concern Link

Village of Westmont
Date Issued: January 17, 2018

The Village of Westmont offers a convenient way to communicate concerns to Village staff right from our website. The REPORT A CONCERN system allows users to enter and track requests on a variety of subjects regarding Code Enforcement, Streets, Water, and more. Last year, the Village of Westmont received over 2000 inquiries through the REPORT A CONCERN system, all of which were addressed by staff.

“The Report A Concern link is an easy and useful tool for residents who need to communicate to staff  regarding a specific issue,” said Building Commissioner Jason Vitell. “It is also a good way to report non-emergency issues after hours and on weekends.”

The REPORT A CONCERN system is easy to use:

  • Visit the Village Website at westmont.illinois.gov
  • Click on the REPORT A CONCERN button on the left-hand side of the main page
  • Select the button corresponding to your area of concern (Code Enforcement, Streets, Water)
  • Click on the specific issue that pertains to you
  • First time users will be prompted to create an account with a password and username so that items can be tracked - Citizens with an established account will be asked to log in
  • Residents may also submit their request anonymously, however, staff is not able to follow-up with anonymous complainants nor provide status updates
  • Residents will then be asked to submit additional information regarding the concern and click submit - An email confirmation will be sent to registered account users

Once staff receives the request, they will channel the information to the appropriate personnel to be addressed.  Citizens who have a user account will be able to use a request tracking number to view updates.  It should be noted that non-anonymous requests are subject to FOIA disclosure.

“Good communication is important to the Village of Westmont,” said Communications Director Larry McIntyre. “We encourage residents to let us know when concerns need to be addressed so that we can better serve our citizens.”  To REPORT A CONCERN or create an account, please click on the link below.
