The Westmont Village Board recently voted to approve an increase to the residential and commercial water rates. The fee increase was necessary to address water utility infrastructure maintenance needs as well as rate increases by the City of Chicago and DuPage Water Commission.
As part of the long-range focus of the Strategic Plan, the Public Works Department conducted a study in 2016 to look at the long-term impact of water rates and infrastructure needs. These needs include replacement of aging water mains, water meters, a water tower, and building a new north water tower to provide additional water storage.
The Village determined that to meet these infrastructure needs, while still remaining competitive with water rates from other communities, rates would be increased incrementally over the next several years.
Village of Westmont Water Rates
Effective May 1, 2018
Westmont Residential Water Service
$15.18 for first 1000 gallons - includes $5.00 monthly service fee
$10.18 per each additional 1000 gallons
Westmont Commercial & Multi-Family Water Service
$16.18 for first 1000 gallons - includes $5.00 monthly service fee
$11.18 per each additional 1000 gallons
Unincorporated Residential Water Service
$17.71 for first 1000 gallons - includes $5.00 monthly service fee
$12.71 per each additional 1000 gallons
Unincorporated Commercial & Multi-Family Water Service
$18.71 for the first 1000 gallons - includes $5.00 monthly service fee
$13.71 per each additional 1000 gallons
