[ARCHIVED] Recycling Event May 5 in Burr Ridge

Village of Westmont

Date Issued: April 17, 2018

Please join State Representatives Jim Durkin and David Olsen along with State Senator John Curran at a free Community Recycle Event they are hosting to keep unwanted items out of landfills and help local non-profits fulfill their missions to help those in need.
Additionally, AT&T will be on hand with a shred truck to accept residential documents to be shredded. Please note there is a 2-bag per car limit for shredding.
Residents are encouraged to bring unwanted items from the list below to Burr Ridge Middle School, 15W451 91st Street in Burr Ridge, IL on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Video Game Consoles

Bread makers
Carpet sweepers
Coffee makers
Curling irons
Electric knives
Flat irons
Food sealers
Hair cutters
Hair dryers
Holiday lights
Metal Tools (Drills, screwdrivers, small saws, sanders, etc.)
Remote controls
Shaving equipment
Toaster ovens
Toothbrushes (electric)

Appliances less than 7 years old
Electrical outlets, switches, supplies, conduit (min of 4 ft)
Flooring (wood & tile 3 box min)
Furniture (tables, chairs, dressers, patio & non-upholstered items)
Hardware (hinges, knobs, nails, nuts, bolts, etc)
HVAC (furnaces, fireplaces, window air conditioners)
Lighting (fixtures, lamps, ceiling fans)
Millwork/Lumber (6 ft min – no nails)
Plumbing (vanity & kitchen sinks, toilets, fixtures)
Tools (in working order)

Brita water filters
Crayons (broken)
Plastic bread bags
