Village of Westmont
Date Issued: Aug 21, 2018
Westmont Cruisin’ Nights will feature the new DuPage County Animal Services Mobile Vet Van on Thursday, August 30 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the intersection of Cass and Irving in downtown Westmont. The Vet Van provides a number of services including surgeries for animal rescues, pet assistance after a natural disaster, and spay and neuter procedures.
“When I heard about this new public service opportunity, I immediately connected them with Westmont Special Events to see if they were interested,” said Village Trustee Steve Nero. “One of the functions of the Vet Van is to promote pet adoptions. We hope that residents interested in getting a new pet will consider this option.” The Vet Van is equipped with cages so that people can see some of the animals that are up for adoption.
Also, Westmont Police Department Community Resource Officer Rosanne Terry will be on hand to answer pet and wildlife questions as well as share information regarding local services and resources.
Westmont Special Events invites everyone to come out and see the new vehicle to learn more about DuPage County Animal Services. For more information on DuPage County Animal Services go to:
