At approximately 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, three male golfers were struck by lightning on the 6th green of Willowcrest Golf Course located at 3500 Midwest Road in Westmont. All three were transported on Advanced Life Support to Good Samaritan Hospital by Westmont and Oakbrook Fire Department ambulances. All three patients were responsive when transported. One patient who sustained a direct hit from the lightning has significant injuries.
