The Westmont Fire Department will be participating in the annual Silent Parade on Friday, October 12 at 7 p.m. The parade is a dedication to firefighters and civilians who have lost their lives due to fires. The parade officially closes fire prevention week, which runs from Oct. 8-12.
The Silent Parade will start in Hinsdale on Chicago Avenue and travel west to Naperville Road and eventually end in Lisle. The public is invited to attend. For more information, contact the Westmont Fire Department at 630-981-6400.
