“Last year, we had a great turnout for our inaugural Wicked West Fest Costume Contest,” said Linda Liddle, Westmont Special Events costume contest volunteer. “The people really put a lot of time and effort into their costumes. I can’t wait to see all of the kids and families come out this year!”
Westmont Special Events invites the entire community to dress up for Halloween and come to downtown Westmont at 10:30 a.m. to the corner of Cass and Irving to be part of this fun costume contest. Contestants will be judged on overall costume impact, creativity, and originality. There will be six categories:
Newborn to 1 year olds
2-5 years old
6-9 years old
10-13 years old
14 & older
Group/family category (Must have at least 3 people)
Awards will be presented to the top 3 costumes in each category. Afterwards, everyone is invited to participate in the Trick or Treat Trail from 1 to 3 p.m. Also at 11 a.m. is the Pumpkin Smashing Extravaganza. And at 12:30 p.m., don’t miss the Caskets on Cass foot race.
