Westmont, Illinois
Date Issued: February 14, 2019
At the February 14, 2019 Village Board meeting, Mayor Ron Gunter and Village Manager Stephen May recognized the recipients of the 2018 Public Service Awards, which are presented to Village of Westmont employees and volunteers who have demonstrated exceptional customer service throughout the past year.
“This is our chance to recognize village staff that go above and beyond the typical work routine to provide excellent service for our residents,” said Mayor Ron Gunter. “We greatly appreciate their hard work and it is my honor to present them with this recognition.”
The annual Village Public Service Award Program asks village staff to nominate people within the organization who provide outstanding dedication and service on behalf of the village. This year, three individuals were chosen for the recognition. The Westmont Chamber of Commerce will review the three finalists and choose one village employee to receive the Public Servant of the Year award. The winner will be announced at the annual Westmont Community Awards Dinner hosted by the Chamber in April at Hilton Chicago/Oakbrook Hills Resort.
Following are this year’s recipients of the 2018 Public Service Award:
Maggie Bjur - Police Department
Josh Boyajian - Fire Department
David DeCicco - Public Works
The Village of Westmont congratulates and thanks Maggie, Josh and David for their outstanding service to the community.
