ABC-TV Ch. 7 meteorologist Larry Mowry will be the featured guest of the Westmont Emergency Management Agency’s upcoming Severe Weather Training event on Saturday, March 9, at the Westmont Police Department, 500 N. Cass. Pre-registration is required. The class will start promptly at 9:00 a.m.; participants must arrive between 8:45 a.m. and 8:55 a.m.
“We are very excited that Mr. Mowry will be our guest speaker,” said EMA Officer and program coordinator Janet Turek. “Larry has always been a big supporter of Westmont and this will be a great opportunity for our volunteers and residents to learn more about severe weather training.”
The training seminar will include information regarding severe weather spotting, how to report a weather emergency to authorities, and more. The event is open to the public, however, due to limited space, this event requires an RSVP. To register, please click on the following link:
