The Friends of the Westmont Public Library (FOL) have scheduled a fundraiser at Woodgrain Pizzeria in Westmont, 19 W. Ogden Avenue, for Tuesday, April 9, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. “We’ve scheduled this event on National Library Workers Day to further celebrate all the hard work the staff does at the Library,” said Lalitha Darbha FOL President. “We love all the activities the Westmont Library offers to the community and want them to grow and continue for a very long time.”
The FOL is a not-for-profit volunteer group that supports library initiatives and programs. These volunteers raise funds through ongoing book sales in the library and fundraising events with restaurants. The FOL Leadership Team consists of: President Lalitha Darbha, Treasurer Steven Vargas, and Secretary Mary Gabryel.
Darbha has been the President of the FOL since June of 2017. She has been volunteering with FOL since 2014. Lalitha also volunteers at her daughter’s school and is Chairman of the Indian American Medical Association Charitable Foundation in Chicago.
