[ARCHIVED] Taste of Westmont and Cruisin’ Nights Need Volunteers

Village of Westmont
Date Issued: June 20, 2019

“Our events are run solely on volunteers,” said Westmont Special Events Corporation (WSEC) President Sam Alonzo, Jr.  “With the success of Westmont Cruisin’ Nights, we need more volunteers than ever before.  Our volunteers do everything from helping people park their cars to passing out event information to making sure the crowds are safe through the event.  We really couldn’t put on these events without all of these wonderful people stepping up to help.”

TASTE OF WESTMONT VOLUNTEERS
The WSEC is also looking for volunteers for the Taste of Westmont to help staff the event, which will be July 11 - 14.  Volunteers can sign up to help with the Beer Tent (evening hours are a priority), work in the Info Booth, be an event greeter, and more.  To sign up, click on the following link:

CRUISIN’ NIGHTS VOLUNTEERS
Westmont Cruisin’ Nights are held every Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. in June, July and August.  The event averages about 300 classic cars and 3000 people per night.  Last year, WGN-Radio declared Westmont Cruisin’ Nights as the best weekly summer car show in the Chicagoland area.
